BOSTON
– Work up an appetite while walking through historic Boston! By presenting the FREEDOM TRAILmix card at any participating restaurant, all conveniently located on or just off the Freedom Trail, visitors are entitled to discounts such as 15%, 20% or 25% off the guest check, complimentary appetizers or desserts, prix fixe meals, or a bowl of Boston’s most famous chowder!

Plan a perfect fun STAYcation in Boston with a stroll through history, an overnight stay at one of 12 great Boston hotels offering special Freedom Trail hotel packages, and now great savings at restaurants.

One of the great bargains of the city at only $12 for adults and $6 for kids, the Walk Into History tour is the Freedom Trail Foundation’s most popular 90-minute walk. Stroll back in time to 16 nationally significant historic sites including Old North Church, where Paul Revere famously alerted the minutemen of an impending British attack, the site of the Boston Massacre, the final resting places of Sam Adams and John Hancock, and others right in the heart of this sophisticated city. An 18th-century costumed guide takes on the role of a real person of the Revolution and guides you through the streets of Boston along the iconic red-bricked Freedom Trail.

“Boston is a great place for a family vacation,” said Mimi La Camera, president of the Freedom Trail Foundation. “The Freedom Trail Foundation has kept tour tickets low – we haven’t raised prices since 1776 – and can offer cool Freedom Trail hotel packages at more than a dozen Boston hotels. Now families can save even more with the FREEDOM TRAILmix card. Just present your card at participating restaurants and enjoy the savings. The card can be used again and again, and is valid through December 31.”

About the Freedom Trail Foundation
The Freedom Trail Foundation is a non-profit foundation dedicated to marketing, promoting, and preserving the Freedom Trail. The Freedom Trail is a 2.5-mile path that leads to 16 of the country’s most significant historical landmarks. The sites are not adaptations or re-creations, they are real, and each played a pivotal role in America’s rebellious beginning – familiar events such as the Boston Tea Party, the Boston Massacre, Paul Revere’s role in the first battle, the Battle of Bunker Hill – and the growth of the young nation. Marked by red brick path or a painted red line, the Trail weaves its way through Boston’s proud past in the midst of this vital, modern city.

The Walk Into History Tour is offered daily fro the Visitor Information Center on Boston Common at 11:00 am, noon, 1:00 pm, 2:30 pm, 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm daily.
